People are the focus of most of my photography – either candid portraits or on the street.
But my walks have been solitary so I’ve had to stalk a different kind of subject.

And I’m discovering that photographing plants in their environment is quite a challenge. I can chase the light, change my position … sometimes but not when there’s a cliff edge! But the plants are stuck in their spot and if I attempt to remove the odd distraction I risk altering the composition.

I love the simplicity of the pictures, and the subtlety of their colouring. Beautiful.
