Three images I took at a Vietnam fishing village made me stop and ponder.
A story has unfolded in a short time frame.
Initially the fishing lady was busily chopping heads off fish … she answered a phone call … and then sat glum … the fish now neglected.
I’ve no idea what the nature of the phone call was, but have found myself returning to these images to look more closely – searching for clues as to “what happened?” I could conjecture and add a narrative to the pictures, like I did in the previous post, but I won’t because there is another important point to note.
If the order of these pictures was reversed, a completely different story could be told, showing how easily the facts of a situation can be manipulated by how photographs are presented.
